It depends on the bus and your state. As a general federal rule, you need a CDL to drive a vehicle rated over 26,000 lbs GVWR or one designed to carry 16 or more passengers including the driver. Many of our smaller shuttle buses fall under both limits; full-size transit buses and coaches typically require a CDL. Tell us which bus you’re looking at and we’ll help you figure out what applies.

Most of our buyers are from out of state. The most common route: fly into Minneapolis–St Paul, we pick the paperwork up together, and you drive the bus home. If you’d rather not drive it back, ask us about transport options when you call.
